 Company History 
The purpose behind setting up the company is to focus on helping small and medium sized business owners achieve their goals.
 
We want to give these companies the ability to compete with larger organisations who can afford to have board members in many different roles, by providing the same knowledge and experience at a fraction of the cost.
 
The company was founded by Edward Bodiam. Ed is an experienced business leader who has owned, run and sold SME companies. He has also worked for other business leaders as an interim board member.
 
He has been an MD, Ops Director, COO, Sales Director and of course has experienced all the roles that lead up to those positions.
 
 
 Ed’s View:
“I have run a couple of companies over the years and sold a customer base. I have been through the commitment, pain and time issues and know that they are all very real to business owners. I also know that the rewards can be fantastic. At a certain point in my career, I would have welcomed having a sounding board available to help me make the decisions that I knew needed to be made, but was uncertain about which path to take.
 
At the time there were business advisors and the big consultancy firms available, but I didn’t feel that they could give me the advice I needed and then help me to implement my plan. The support I needed was having actual resource to help me to complete work, from a company with me and my company’s best interests at heart.
 
This is why I decided to set up SME Advice. We provide the knowledge and experience of running businesses and truly understand the situation that our customers are in. We provide ‘hands on’ expertise and resource to help you achieve your goals.”
